Muses are nine inspirational goddesses, who symbolize literature, science and arts in Greek Mythology. They are daughters of Zeus and Titaness Mnemosyne, goddess of memory.
Euterpe‘s name is derived from the Greek words eu- and terpô, meaning “giver of much delight.” Euterpe is considered to be the muse who is responsible for music and lyric poetry, thus she was always associated with the Aulos, a musical instrument popular in Ancient Greece that resembles a flute.
